OVERVIEW
Join our team as a Technical Assistant!
This role is based out of our Cincinnati, OH office. The position is paid hourly and includes eligibility for overtime pay.
Matrix Technologies, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized professional to provide document, proposal, and project support to our engineering and project teams. This role focuses on proofreading, formatting, publishing, coordinating, and maintaining project documentation in accordance with Matrix standards. The ideal candidate enjoys working with documents, managing multiple priorities, maintaining quality standards, and supporting team operations in a fast-paced engineering environment. This is not an IT, programming, engineering, or software development position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Proofread, edit, format, and publish, and distribute project deliverables, proposals, and internal documents.
  • Ensure documentation complies with Matrix standards, templates, and quality requirements.
  • Coordinate document reviews and publication activities.
  • Support proposal and project teams by organizing information and maintaining records.
  • Enter project data and schedules into company systems.
  • Track assignments and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
  • Support continuous improvement of department tools, templates, and processes.
  • Assist with meetings, communications, office coordination, and other team support activities as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Possess 3-5+ years of experience in document control, proposal support, technical writing, project coordination, administrative support, or related business support functions.
  • The completion or pursuit of an Associate's degree in English, Business Administration, or related field is preferred
  • Excellent typing and proofreading skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to use critical thinking skills to manage tasks
  • Expertise with key software programs (e.g., Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
  • Must be able to work independently and as a contributing team member
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and plan to meet tight deadlines
  • Has prior experience in an engineering or technical industry (preferred)
  • Reliable, dedicated, and positive attitude toward team members and clients
  • Comfortable working with all levels of positions within the organization and supporting multiple locations
  • Basic business acumen and knowledge preferred.
  • Technical writing ability preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; stoop, kneel, crouch; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk, and hear.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds.

We offer market-competitive compensation for a Technical Assistant with a base range of $40,000 to $51,000 annually and a total compensation package that includes quarterly bonuses, 401(k) matching, and overtime pay. Salaries are based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
