Our company is a national ASP (after-sales service) company providing technical services to manufacturers of small appliances and other products. You will be joining our west coast operation in Paramount, California.
Job Summary
As a Technical Assistant , you will be responsible to our service technicians by working with them to proficiently replace parts as needed in small home appliances such as espresso makers according to the diagnosis of a technician. The technician will perform final testing.
Over time you will develop your own diagnosis and repair skills and have the opportunity to move into a full technician role.
Throughout the first few weeks to ensure quality of work and safety for all team members.
Responsibilities
General responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Remove and installing components into appliances while documenting work in inventory and service computer systems
this will constitute the bulk of your work
- Follow technical repair procedures under guiddance of technician
- Maintain order on your workstation and other areas where you may be working
- May be asked to work overtime when business requires
- Learn repetive tasks quickly to not require supervision and learn the pace of work

  • 8:30 - 4:30PM work schedule M-F, 15 paid coffee break, 30 minute unpaid lunch break

Qualifications
  • High school diploma/GED required
  • Previous experience in technical work is preferred, not necessarily work experience but can be personal
  • Ability to lift appliances weighing up to 50 lbs
  • Capable of working at technician's workstation full day
  • Ability to learn from supervisor and gradually require less supervision
  • Ability to learn to diagnose technical problems in products in a few weeks after hiring
  • Ability to use custom computer software and cameras to capture data and images as needed per SOP
