Job description

Industrial Service Group is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Manager of Accounting & Analytics to join our team. This position will work out of our corporate office in Indianapolis and will assist with and improve upon current month end close procedures, perform account reconciliations, and provide financial analysis to help management make informed business decisions. This position will report directly to the Corporate Controller.
  • Month end close duties: Perform month-end close duties for some of the manufacturing & technical services sites directly and work with Corporate Controller to reduce the time required to close
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist some of the manufacturing & technical service sites directly with annual budget process and monthly/quarterly forecasting and support corporate consolidation of information for all sites
  • Preparing financial reports: Collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends into financial reports for specific sites and support corporate consolidation for all sites
  • Account reconciliation: Reconciling bank statements and various accounts balances to ensure financial statement accuracy
  • Job Costing support: Coordinate with internal and external colleagues to track labor, material, overhead costs, etc., for projects
  • Maintaining financial records: Collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends
  • Audit Support: provide supporting documentation to outside auditors as requested.
  • Local Accounting Guidance: Support the local Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Team with general process and posting questions as needed.
  • Ensuring financial security: Following internal accounting controls and completing database backups

Requirements
  • 3-5 years relevant accounting experience related to month end close activities, forecasting, and budgeting
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Strong oral & written communication skills
  • Ability to handle and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills with experience in consolidation of financials in a multi-entity environment, including intercompany eliminations, is preferred
  • Self motivated and laser focused on driving process improvement including the use of a business AI platform is a plus
  • Manufacturing and/or service job accounting experience that requires job tracking and costing is preferred but not required
  • Experience with finance software packages for account reconciliations, forecasting and budgeting, and consolidations are preferred
  • QuickBooks and NetSuite ERP systems experience including implementation of a new ERP system preferred but not required
  • ~10% travel required
