Position Description The Town of Marana is seeking a Technology Analyst to join the Information Technology Department.

This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with business stakeholders, software developers, and technical teams to deliver innovative technology solutions that enhance Town services. The Technology Analyst serves as a key liaison between departments and Information Technology, leading technology initiatives from planning through implementation. This role is responsible for managing technology projects, gathering and analyzing business and technical requirements, and partnering with stakeholders to develop strategic technology roadmaps that align with departmental goals.

In addition, the Technology Analyst provides enterprise application and solution architecture support, identifies opportunities to improve business processes through technology, and develops reports and dashboards using tools such as SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Power BI, and other business intelligence platforms to support data-driven decision-making. Alternative work schedules and scheduled telework may be available in accordance with Town policy and operational requirements. Expected Hiring Range: $66,130 - $82,661 Salary Range: $66,130 - $99,195 placement within the salary range is dependent on direct experience, internal equity and/or budget Examples of Duties Analyzes problems and implements solutions by assisting in software development. Responsible for working with key project stakeholders to capture business and user requirements for projects.

Collaborates with technical and department teams to ensure business processes and initiatives are aligned for optimal effectiveness. Create and modify reports and report templates using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS). Interviews key stakeholders and translates to detailed requirements, maps current processes to the desired end state, and identifies gaps, such as program functions, output requirements, input requirements and sources, data conversion strategies, and system techniques and controls.

Works with end users and vendors to identify and resolve technical issues with enterprise and COTS systems. Create and modify existing forms in multiple form builder software solutions. Coordinates and installs new releases and patches for enterprise and COTS systems.

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. (Additional relevant professional experience may substitute for required education on a year-for-year basis.) Over three years of experience in information technology, computer science, project management, business systems analysis, or related field. Must pass a fingerprint clearance background check

An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience that provides the desired knowledge, skills & abilities to successfully perform essential functions may be considered. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, business administration or closely related field. Experience creating ad-hoc reports with MS SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) Strong analytical skills to interpret and translate business needs into application and operational requirements.

Experience collaborating with business stakeholders to identify process improvements, eliminate inefficiencies, and implement technology solutions that improve service delivery. Experience with issue tracking tools such as JIRA.
