HRIS Operations Trainee
The Woodlands, TX or Austin, TX (Hybrid)
Ferrovial is seeking a motivated early-career professional to join our team as an HRIS Trainee (Workday). This role is expected to be 12 months long and is designed for recent graduates or junior professionals looking to gain hands-on experience in HR technology.
This role will support the administration and continuous improvement of our Workday platform, gaining exposure to Workday modules, Core Connectors, and Integrations while collaborating with HR, Payroll, IT, and global teams across regions.
Job Description:
As an HRIS Trainee, you will contribute to the daily operations and enhancement of Ferrovial's Workday ecosystem. This role is focused on learning, development, and hands-on experience, with exposure to system configuration, integrations, and HR processes in a global environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support day-to-day operations of Workday (HCM, Payroll, Benefits, etc.)
  • Assist with data entry, updates, audits, and reporting
  • Partner with senior team members to support system configurations and enhancements
  • Gain exposure to and assist with Workday integrations, including Core Connectors
  • Help troubleshoot basic system issues and respond to user inquiries
  • Support testing activities (UAT, regression testing) for system updates and releases
  • Maintain and update process documentation and system records
  • Collaborate with HR, IT, and global business teams on system-related requests
  • Use Artificial Intelligence agents and models to analyze data, reports, and documents.
  • Generate and review computer code output to support programming solutions within AI agents.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business, or related field
  • 0-2 years of experience (internships or relevant coursework preferred)
  • Interest in HRIS, Workday, or HR technology
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office tools
  • Ability to learn quickly and work in a collaborative environment
  • Prior technical experience with Workday HRIS, or holding a Workday certification is a bonus, but not required
  • Spanish language skills are a plus, but not required
  • Understand how to use Artificial Intelligence agents including Copilot and Claude.
  • Know which Artificial Intelligence models to use when performing analysis.
