Title: Tech Support Assistant ~ Special Education

Position Type: Full-time

What the Special Education Tech Support Assistant does:

In coordination with the Program Director, Program Supervisors, Network and Facility Managers, the Tech Support Assistant provides technological needs by providing daily technical systems and support to the program. The Tech Support Assistant assists the program as assigned in any of the following:

  • Provides technical support to the Laurel and Fairfax programs.
  • Provides technical support to staff, students, and families.
  • Provides training to staff, students, and families as needed. 
  • Coordinates and communicates with staff from LEAs concerning issues with LEA-issued devices and technology.
  • Assists in student crisis counseling as needed.
  • Maintains and manages the inventory for a variety of devices, technology, and supporting accessories. 
  • Provides daily troubleshooting of issues to devices.
  • Serves on technology and software committees and other relevant task forces as needed.
  • Assists in purchase of materials and supplies and maintenance of computer systems.
