Position Overview
As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing expert installation, troubleshooting, and service support for security systems across our customer base. This role requires both technical skill and customer service excellence — you’ll represent iS3 on-site, ensuring every interaction reinforces our reputation for professionalism, quality, and reliability.
You’ll work closely with our service manager and counterpart service representatives to deliver responsive service calls, warranty work, system upgrades, and preventative maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
Respond to service requests, perform troubleshooting, and resolve issues with video surveillance, access control, intrusion, and related systems.
Install, configure, and service cloud-based and on-premises security platforms.
Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure system reliability and uptime.
Document service activities thoroughly in our current service platform
Maintain accountability for tools, equipment, and company vehicle.
Provide outstanding customer service and act as a trusted advisor to clients on system performance, upgrades, and enhancements.
Collaborate with the service and operations team to improve processes, reduce repeat issues, and deliver consistent quality.
Participate in on-call rotations for after-hours service support.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience as a service technician in electronic security (video, access control, intrusion, or related fields).
Strong understanding of IP networking, cloud-based platforms, and system integrations.
Experience with leading manufacturers (Avigilon, S2, Prowatch, Softwarehouse, Genetec, Axis, or similar) preferred.
Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, system drawings, and technical manuals.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills with a focus on customer experience.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Ability to pass background check and drug screening (required for sensitive client sites).
