Technology Sales Account Executive Position Summary

Golden Star Technology Inc. (GST) is seeking a highly motivated Sales Account Executive responsible for generating new business opportunities and expanding relationships within existing accounts. This role focuses on solution-based selling, emphasizing IT and AV services, hardware, and enterprise solutions. The ideal candidate is skilled in sales strategy, business development, client engagement, and communication. The successful candidate will be able to effectively present and sell GST's IT and AV solutions to a diverse range of clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and manage your own book of business, owning prospecting, pipeline development, and forecasting with no companyprovided leads.
  • Drive revenue and margin through effective pricing, upselling, and discount strategies.
  • Create account strategies that align customer goals with GST's IT and AV solutions.
  • Present technology roadmaps to uncover expansion opportunities and longterm value.
  • Partner closely with inside sales, engineering, and delivery teams to ensure accurate scoping, competitive proposals, and successful deal closures.
  • Build trusted relationships with executives, decision-makers, and key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with IT and AV vendors/OEMs on joint sales initiatives.
  • Manage daytoday account activity while executing longterm growth plans.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasts, and customer activity in CRM tools.
  • Stay current on industry trends, competitors, and emerging technologies.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of field sales experience in IT, AV, or a related technology environment.
  • Proven success selling complex, multicomponent IT and/or AV solutions to commercial or enterprise customers.
  • Handson experience pricing hardware, software, and services, with strong command of upselling, margin management, and strategic discounting.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage the full sales cycle-from discovery and solution design through proposal, approval, and close.
  • Experience navigating customer budget cycles, procurement processes, and approval workflows common to IT and AV projects.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating crossfunctionally with internal teams.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools for pipeline management, forecasting, and activity reporting.
  • Highly motivated and resultsdriven, with the ability to succeed in a performancebased sales environment.
