Job description


Honeywell Technologies is seeking a high-performing Sales Manager to lead and develop a team of Account Managers within the US Digital Designs (USDD) business. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and ensuring consistent achievement and overachievement of annual sales objectives across a portfolio of public safety, fire station alerting, and emergency communications solutions.
The ideal candidate combines strong people leadership with a disciplined operating cadence, leveraging sales metrics, defined sales process, pipeline management, forecasting accuracy, and strategic account planning to deliver predictable business results. This leader will coach and develop a team of Account Managers while fostering a culture of accountability, customer focus, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Account Managers responsible for territory growth, customer retention, and new product introductions.
  • Establish clear performance expectations, sales objectives, and development plans for each team member.
  • Conduct regular pipeline reviews, opportunity coaching sessions, and business planning activities to improve sales effectiveness.
  • Foster a high-performance culture built on accountability, collaboration, integrity, and customer success.
  • Recruit, onboard, and retain top sales talent.

Revenue Growth & Financial Performance
  • Own team attainment of bookings, revenue, margin, and growth targets.
  • Consistently drive performance that meets and exceeds quarterly and annual financial objectives.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies that accelerate market penetration and increase wallet share within key accounts.
  • Identify emerging market opportunities and develop actionable plans to capture incremental revenue.
  • Partner with marketing, product management, technical sales, and operations teams to maximize business performance.

Sales Execution & Metrics Management
  • Drive disciplined use of CRM tools and sales operating processes.
  • Monitor and improve key performance indicators including:
    • Revenue attainment
    • Bookings growth
    • Pipeline coverage
    • Forecast accuracy
    • Sales cycle velocity
    • Win rates
    • Customer retention
    • Average deal size
    • Territory productivity
  • Establish dashboard-driven accountability to ensure consistent execution across the sales organization.

Customer & Market Engagement
  • Build executive-level relationships with customers, partners, consultants, and industry stakeholders.
  • Support strategic pursuits and participate in complex negotiations when required.
  • Represent Honeywell and USDD at customer meetings, industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
  • Gather market intelligence and competitive insights to influence business strategy.

YOU MUST HAVE
  • 3+ years of progressive sales leadership experience in technology, software, SaaS, automation, building technologies, public safety, communications, or related industries.
  • 3+ years of direct people leadership experience managing Account Managers, Territory Managers, or Business Development professionals.
  • Demonstrated success leading teams that consistently achieve and exceed revenue and profitability targets.
  • Proven experience managing sales pipelines, forecasting, territory planning, and operational sales metrics.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing bookings, revenue, margin, and growth objectives.
  • Excellent coaching, performance management, and talent-development skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms and sales analytics tools.
