Cath Lab Tech Relocation assistance available! Shift: Days, 40 hours per week Summary: The inventory, distribution/delivery of medications is required for all Patient Care area Positions. The primary function of a EP/Cardiovascular Technologist is to assist with care of patients undergoing diagnostic and/or interventional EP/cardiology procedures in the EP/Cardiac Cath Lab. The inventory, distribution/delivery of medications may be required. Requirements:
  • Licensure as a Registered Radiology Technologist (RT) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) in the State of Maryland and/or Delaware.
  • One-year experience in cardiovascular radiology with experience in non-invasive and invasive procedures.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
  • Ability to read and communicate in the English language.
Education
  • Graduate of an approved school of radiology.
Experience
  • Prefer one-year experience in cardiovascular radiology with experience in non-invasive and invasive procedures.
  • Must be able to answer inquiries about Cardiac Cath procedures, technologies, methodologies, answer questions about specific factors that can influence test results.
  • Must be able to organize effectively, work under restraints of time pressure, and an ever-changing schedule.
  • Knowledge of proper use of all catheter equipment and analytical methods in use in the Cath lab.
  • Ability to perform new procedures under the Director, Medical Director or Manager's direction.
  • Must possess good communication and interpretive skills, be able to successfully report Cath results and patient condition to medical and nursing staff as well as interpret oral and written orders.
  • Understands theory, as well as procedure of cardiac Cath and interventions by cardiologists for evaluation of validity of patient results.
  • Must exhibit skills of communication, compassion, and helpfulness when dealing with patients, patient families, general public, and other medical health professionals.
  • Adjust to change in policies, procedures, schedule, and fluctuation in workload
