Job description

As a Product Tester at Chefman, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our kitchen products. Working closely with product development and engineering teams, you'll own all testing activities for products in development, from initial testing to final product validation. Your efforts will help ensure that our customers receive products that not only meet but exceed their expectations. 

You will be an integral part of our product testing process, designing test plans, building testing setups, and analyzing test data to provide insights and recommendations. If you are a hands-on, technically-minded individual with a passion for quality and innovation, this is the role for you!

Responsibilities:

  • Test Planning & Execution: Design and implement detailed test plans for products in development, ensuring comprehensive test coverage including protocols, pass/fail criteria, and data collection methods.
  • Product Testing Ownership: Take full ownership of all testing activities for your assigned products.
  • Hands-On Testing: Conduct hands-on product testing, including designing and setting up tests, and using lab equipment to validate product functionality, usability, and durability.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product development and engineering, to report test findings and provide feedback on product improvements.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Clearly document testing expectations, results, and recommendations in reports for both internal teams and external partners.

Qualifications:

  • Hands-On & Technical: A passion for tinkering and building things with your hands, with a solid technical mindset to back it up.
  • Multitasking Ability: Strong time management skills with the ability to handle multiple testing activities and projects simultaneously.
  • Learning Mindset: Eagerness to learn and operate new lab equipment and technologies to support product testing.
  • Analytical Thinking: A deep understanding of statistical methods and data analysis to interpret test results and identify trends.
  • Communication: Excellent written communication skills, particularly in documenting test plans, procedures, and results.
  • Proficiency with Tools: Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word), and experience with testing tools such as data loggers, Arduino and Python
  • Degree: A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
