Job description

Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their IT Managed Services L3 Specialist position! This is a direct placement opportunity and will be hybrid in Buffalo, New York (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in office).
No C2C or subcontracting arrangements will be considered.
What You'll Be Doing:
  • Serve as the senior technical escalation point for complex cybersecurity incidents, infrastructure issues, and critical system outages requiring expert-level resolution
  • Lead incident response efforts during major service disruptions, making rapid technical decisions under pressure to restore services while maintaining clear client communication
  • Design, implement, and maintain security controls across enterprise environments, including firewall configurations, VPN solutions, network segmentation, and proactive threat monitoring
  • Manage and optimize virtualization platforms, cloud infrastructure, backup systems, and disaster recovery planning to ensure business continuity
  • Receive and resolve complex technical issues escalated from Level 2 support, providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior technicians
  • Lead technical implementation of infrastructure and security projects, including server migrations, network upgrades, and system deployments with comprehensive client communication
  • Interface with vendors for advanced technical support, troubleshoot multi-vendor integration issues, and provide expert consultation on architectural decisions
  • Develop automation scripts and tools using PowerShell, Python, or Bash to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual tasks
  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, runbooks, standard operating procedures, and client-facing guides
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional service delivery, translating technical findings into business impact terms
What You'll Need to Have:
  • 5-7 years of experience in IT support or managed services with proven L3/senior technical support experience
  • Current certifications such as Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate, CompTIA Security+ or Network+, Cisco CCNA/CCNP, or VMware VCP
  • Hands-on expertise with Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, Microsoft 365, and virtualization platforms including VMware and Hyper-V
  • Strong networking knowledge across TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching, and WAN optimization
  • Demonstrated expertise in cybersecurity principles, security incident response, vulnerability assessments, and compliance frameworks
  • Proficiency in PowerShell, Python, or other scripting languages with experience using RMM tools, PSA platforms, and ticketing systems
  • Outstanding customer service skills with proven ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences and manage difficult interactions professionally
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities with track record of resolving complex, multi-layered technical issues under pressure while maintaining composure

Pay Range: $80,000 - $100,000 + Additional Benefits
