Job Title

Senior Contract Specialist

About your role:

A Senior Contract Specialist ensures that colleagues and clients receive responsive and capable professional contracting support for a wide variety of transactions and deals. You will impact both client satisfaction and help Fiserv reach our financial targets by preparing, editing and managing transaction documents and supporting deals. You will gain product knowledge, company knowledge, and problem solving skills. This role will give you the experience and exposure to grow personally and professionally through an opportunity to work with a dedicated team of legal professionals.

What you'll do:

  • Working primarily on single purpose agreements/documents (NDAs, SOWs, amendments, letters, etc.)
  • Preparing initial drafts of complex legal agreements based upon contracting standards and unique deal terms or requests, and interpreting business and legal terms during and after the contracting process
  • Managing form contract templates and drafting sections or passages, primarily using standard documentation and a clause bank
  • Supporting sales groups to create and verify terms for contracts and coordinate cross-functional input and approvals across sales, finance, operations, security, and product teams.
  • Reviewing terms against templates and identifying deviations
  • Acting as the point person for the collection of information and feedback from disparate groups (e.g. finance, operations, security, product, etc.) during the contracting process
  • Ensure final copies of agreements/documents are saved and stored properly
  • Responsibilities listed are not intended to be all-inclusive and may be modified as necessary.

Experience you'll need to have:

  • 4+ years of experience in contract administration or legal operations
  • Advanced proficiency with a variety of software applications, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience using PDF editing tools (e.g., Adobe Acrobat) to produce and manage contract documents
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Legal Studies, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience

Experience that would be great to have:

  • Experience with financial services, payments industry, or technology contracts, including software license and SaaS subscription agreements
  • Experience with contract lifecycle management (CLM) tools and workflow configuration

How you'll work:

  • This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.
  • This role requires use of a computer and audio equipment.

Sponsorship:

You must currently possess valid and unrestricted U.S. work authorization to be considered for this role. Individuals with temporary visas including, but not limited to, F-1 (OPT, CPT, STEM), H-1B, H-2, or TN, or any candidate requiring sponsorship, now or in the future, will not be considered for this role.

Benefits at Fiserv:

  • Eight Employee Resource Groups to foster a collaborative culture and expand your network.
  • Unparalleled professional growth with training, development, and internal mobility opportunities.
  • Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance options available from day one.
  • Retirement planning and discounted shares with the Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
  • Tuition assistance and reimbursement program.
  • Paid parental, caregiver, and military leave.
