How much do tec jobs pay per hour?
What is the difference between Tec vs Network Technician?
| Aspect | Tec | Network Technician |
|---|---|---|
| Required Certifications | CompTIA A+, Cisco CCNA (sometimes) | CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA |
| Work Environment | IT support, hardware setup, troubleshooting | Network setup, maintenance, troubleshooting |
| Industry Usage | IT services, tech support | Networking, telecommunications |
Both Tec and Network Technician roles involve troubleshooting and supporting IT systems. Tec generally covers a broader range of hardware and software support, while Network Technicians focus specifically on network infrastructure. Certifications like CompTIA A+ and Cisco CCNA are common for both, but Network Technicians often require more specialized networking skills. Understanding these differences helps employers and job seekers identify the right role based on skills and industry focus.
