Job description

Medical Assistant – Pulmonary & Sleep Medicine

Pay: $15–$19 per hour

Schedule: Full-time, in person

We are seeking a dependable Medical Assistant for a permanent position in our Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support an assigned physician, PA, or NP during patient visits.
  • Coordinate follow-ups and update electronic medical records.
  • Manage post-visit care, diagnostic testing, and prior authorizations, referrals, scheduling, Eligibility checks.
  • Educate patients about diagnoses, medications, and treatment plans.
  • Work with clinical and virtual staff to improve patient flow and reduce wait times.
Requirements
  • Medical Assistant license required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • One year of medical assisting experience preferred.
  • Spanish or another language is a plus.
  • Must be organized, proactive, adaptable, and patient-focused.
