Middle School English Teacher

Location: Great Neck, NY

Position Type: Full Time

The North Shore Hebrew Academy (NSHA) is a co-educational Modern Orthodox Yeshiva that inspires students to become passionate learners, critical thinkers, problem solvers and dedicated community members.

We are seeking a caring and dynamic middle school English teacher to join our Middle School faculty team. An ideal candidate will have experience in teaching middle school reading and writing, and have a deep passion for literature.

Our teachers are responsible for planning lessons, delivering differentiated instruction, assessing student learning, helping students to develop social and emotional competencies, communicating with parents, and collaborating with their colleagues.

Ideal Candidates will possess the following qualifications:

  • MA in Education

  • A minimum of three years teaching English, ideally in a middle school setting

  • A teaching philosophy that focuses on growth in academic, social and emotional domains

  • A collaborative, teamwork-oriented approach

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • We especially encourage teachers with strong extracurricular experience to apply

Salary Range: $68,000-85,000
