Summary:
The Coordinator, Surgical Scheduler performs administrative duties relevant to surgical/procedural operations. The Surgical Coordinator will work closely with specialty offices such as, but not limited to, Orthopedics, Neurology, Neurosurgery, General Surgery, Cardiology, ENT. This position includes surgery scheduling, appointment reminders, keeping patient records, entering pre- and post-surgical data, and scheduling surgical equipment. Responsibilities include coordinating surgical procedures with multiple hospitals and surgery centers, scheduling and obtaining pre-operative testing, writing, and communicating surgery orders, and collecting necessary documentation for surgeries. Training and awareness - teaching and raising awareness of access and privacy responsibilities to the patient.
