Job Duties:
This position reports to the El Paso Transitional Center (also known as a Residential Reentry Center) daily and assisting with coverage at other local parole offices across the state. This position may assist on a local TDCJ unit, based on occasional need. Daytoday functions include providing employment support to the onsite resident population, this includes providing referrals, attracting local employer partnerships, facilitating hiring events, maintaining relationships with employers, facilitating linkage to employment opportunities for the resident population, and as needed, supporting securement of employment ready identification documents. The Employment Coordinator acts as a mentor and support role in career development, providing guidance to residences on career development and job search strategies.
The Employment Coordinator is responsible for developing and maintaining records for residents, documenting who is employment ready and who needs additional services and preparing summary reports. Responsibilities also include coordinating connection to other reentry resources and serving as the subject matter expert on employment for the geographical area for division operations and efforts for employment prior to release from a TDCJ unit.

You have 4years of work experience or a bachelor's degree
