Position Summary
The Education & Consultant Strategy Manager is responsible for developing and executing a sales strategy focused on the K12 and Higher Education markets. This individual will drive brand preference and revenue growth by influencing Foodservice Consultants, school nutrition directors, and university dining administrators. The goal is to position Hoshizaki as the "Basis of Design" for all ice and refrigeration needs within the education vertical. This position will be asked to work in conjunction with our existing sales teams and provide expertise in the education segment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Specification: Build and maintain high-level relationships with Foodservice Consultants to ensure Hoshizaki products are specified in new construction and renovation projects.
  • End-User Engagement: Conduct direct outreach to K-12 Food Service Directors and University Dining Services to identify pain points and provide tailored equipment solutions (e.g., Touch-free Dispensers and Energy Star refrigeration).
  • Industry Presence: Represent Hoshizaki at major industry trade shows and conferences, including the School Nutrition Association (SNA) and NACUFS.
  • Product Advocacy: Collaborate with leadership and engineering to develop "education-specific" products.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Spec Win Rate: Increasing the frequency of Hoshizaki appearing as the primary spec in education project bids.
  • Vertical Growth: Achieving year-over-year revenue targets for the K-12 and Higher Ed segments.
  • Opportunities Logged: Tracking via Hoshizaki CE program.

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in commercial foodservice equipment sales, specifically targeting the education or institutional segment.

Salary, Benefits, & Perks
The salary range for this position is $81,000 - $106,000 annually. This range is a good faith estimate of what Hoshizaki America expects to pay for this role. Actual pay may vary based on experience, education, skills, and internal equity.
