JOB TITLE:

Residential Custodial Technician

LOCATION:

Viking Lakes Residences

710 Vikings Parkway

Eagan, MN 55121

TYPE/COMPENSATION:

Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday - Friday 7am – 3:30pm

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour + full benefits package


SUMMARY:

Our goal is for Viking Lakes Residences to be the cleanest and best maintained apartment community in the Twin Cities, and we are looking for high-energy individuals to help us achieve that goal. Our Residential Custodial Technicians are an integral part of the resident experience, equally as important as every person on our team. Our 483-unit luxury apartment community features four 4-story apartment buildings, a standalone Clubhouse/leasing office, and a variety of first-class outdoor amenity spaces, and this is only the beginning. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Carpet shampooing.
  • General cleaning of the community including vacuuming, mopping, disinfecting, window washing and waste removal.
  • Conduct routine community inspections, interior and exterior, as well as vacant units.
  • Touch up clean vacant home(s) before move-ins.
  • Restock chemical, liquid and paper supplies in all common areas, restrooms, and amenities.
  • Follow manufacturer recommendations on floor, furniture, and custodial equipment maintenance.
  • Respond to resident requests related to cleaning and general maintenance.
  • Observe and report facility damage, security concerns and other campus issues, as necessary.


QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this role successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability needed for this position. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.


EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

  • At least one (1) year of experience in the cleaning/custodial field.
  • At least one (1) year of customer service/hospitality experience.


TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE:

  • Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and OSHA regulations.
  • Basic understanding of typical cleaning methods and best practices.
  • Comfortability and experience in working with basic tools and equipment needed to complete duties.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to lift, push, pull and/or move up to 30 lbs. Will be on your feet and mobile frequently, both inside and outside of buildings.
