Job Description and Requirements
We Are
Synopsys is the leader in engineering solutions from silicon to systems, enabling customers to rapidly innovate AI-powered products. We deliver industry-leading silicon design, IP, simulation and analysis solutions, and design services. We partner closely with our customers across a wide range of industries to maximize their R&D capability and productivity, powering innovation today that ignites the ingenuity of tomorrow.
You Are
You have built your career at the intersection of semiconductor technology and product strategy, and you understand that the best product roadmaps are written in partnership with the engineers who will build on top of them. Your expertise in process simulation, device modeling, calibration, and digital twin technologies is not theoretical. It comes from years of working directly with the teams who depend on these tools to solve real problems at the edge of what is physically possible.
You lead with clarity, sound judgment, and a strong sense of accountability. You build high-performing teams, set clear direction, and empower others to execute effectively while remaining actively engaged when course correction is needed. Your reputation in the TCAD and semiconductor ecosystem is grounded in credibility, consistent follow-through, and the ability to address complex challenges directly and constructively.
What You'll Be Doing
  • Define and execute the product technical strategy for Synopsys TCAD solutions, including process and device simulation, atomistic modeling, calibration, and digital twin technologies
  • Build and manage the product technical roadmap by synthesizing customer feedback, competitive intelligence, market trends, and internal R&D capabilities into prioritized initiatives
  • Lead go-to-market planning for TCAD product launches, including technical positioning, messaging, sales enablement materials, and field readiness
  • Establish and maintain strategic relationships with key customers and ecosystem partners to shape market direction and drive adoption of Synopsys TCAD solutions
  • Identify and qualify new market opportunities adjacent to the core TCAD portfolio, including discovery, business case development, and execution planning
  • Partner with the product management team, providing technical direction, collaboration, and accountability to deliver on quarterly and annual goals
  • Partner with Field Applications Engineers to expand Synopsys TCAD presence at customer sites through training, technical enablement, and joint customer engagements

The Impact You Will Have
  • Expand Synopsys market share in TCAD simulation, atomistic modeling, and digital twin solutions by delivering differentiated products that solve real customer problems ahead of competitors
  • Drive revenue growth by entering adjacent markets and building new product lines that leverage Synopsys core TCAD capabilities
  • Strengthen Synopsys influence in the semiconductor ecosystem through thought leadership, industry presentations, and strategic customer partnerships
  • Improve product-market fit and customer satisfaction by ensuring the roadmap reflects actual user workflows, not just feature requests
  • Accelerate time-to-value for customers by tightening integration between TCAD tools and the broader Synopsys EDA platform
  • Build a scalable, high-performing product team that can execute independently and adapt to shifting market conditions

  • Shape industry standards and best practices in TCAD by engaging with consortia, research institutions, and leading semiconductor companies

What You'll Need
  • 15+ years of product management or product marketing experience in EDA, semiconductor design, or process technology
  • Deep technical knowledge of TCAD workflows, including process simulation, device physics, calibration methodologies, or atomistic modeling
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Device Physics, Materials Science, or related field
  • Proven ability to write clear, actionable Marketing Requirements Documents that translate customer needs into engineering deliverables
  • Established relationships with product and engineering leaders at major semiconductor companies, foundries, or IDMs
  • Track record of leading cross-functional initiatives that involve R&D, sales, marketing, and field teams across multiple geographies
  • MBA or equivalent business experience is a strong plus

Who You Are
  • Demonstrates a leadership style grounded in clear direction, thoughtful decision-making, and effective delegation rather than close oversight of execution.
  • Adapts quickly to changing priorities and evolving business needs, maintaining team focus and momentum in dynamic environments.
  • Communicates effectively with both highly technical and executive audiences, translating complex product strategies into clear business and technical value propositions.
  • Builds credibility with customers and partners through consistent follow-through, transparent communication, and proactive issue management.
  • Exercises sound product judgment by aligning feature prioritization decisions with broader strategic objectives and clearly articulating trade-offs to stakeholders.

The Team You'll Be Part Of
You will lead a small, focused team responsible for defining, developing, and expanding Synopsys TCAD product line. The team works closely with R&D, sales, field applications engineers, and ecosystem partners to deliver market-leading solutions. Together, you shape the roadmap, drive product innovation, and represent Synopsys vision in the semiconductor industry.
