If you're the kind of person who takes pride in accuracy, loves helping clients stay organized, and gets satisfaction from seeing everything come together seamlessly - you'll fit right in.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the tax team in gathering, organizing, and reviewing client documents.
  • Input financial data and prepare workpapers for individual and business tax returns.
  • Support the preparation of basic tax returns under supervision.
  • Communicate with clients to request missing information or clarify details.
  • Help implement firm processes such as electronic filing, tax document management, and client onboarding.
  • Participate in training and professional development to prepare for advancement.

Required Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or administrative support (preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills - professional, clear, and client-friendly.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Workspace, or similar tools.
  • Experience with tax or accounting software is a plus (e.g., Drake, Lacerte, or QuickBooks).
  • Desire to grow into a Tax Preparer role through mentorship and hands-on learning.

Preferred (Not Required)

  • EA or CPA (or actively pursuing)
  • Experience with S-corps and partnerships

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $50,000-$55,000 (based on experience)
  • 100% Remote
  • PTO (single PTO policy)
  • Health insurance eligibility after 60 days
  • Education assistance up to $5,250 annually after 1 year
  • Training access via CPE.com
