If you like learning tax strategy ropes from an award-winning CPA while you prepare individual returns, you’ll love this opportunity to shine. The founder received the California Society of CPAs Public Service Award and was honored as San Diego County’s Region Accountant Advocate of the Year. Located in Pt. Loma and known for its propensity for hard work and great play, it maintains its momentum throughout the year. Its mission is to “be a resource to our clients in achieving their financial objectives.” This firm is recognized for its serious commitment to always work smart and do good. Last year alone they helped raise $40,000 for two charities. Unlike many CPA firms that clients only hear from them at tax time, this firm is professional, proactive, and personable. Tax preparers are hands-on with clients’ QuickBook files, assist with year-end reconciliations, and prep numbers for serious tax preparation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting
  • 2-3 years of experience in bookkeeping/accounting/tax preparation /year-end reconciliations
  • Knowledge of tax code
  • Proficient knowledge of QuickBooks, Excel with CCH Prosystems a plus
  • Ability to collaborate and work as a team player
  • Need attention to detail and follow up skills
  • Need solid communication skills to speak with clients regarding missing information, year-end reconciliations, and tax preparation
