Position Overview
The Tax Manager will be responsible for overseeing the tax compliance and planning functions of the organization. This role will involve managing tax-related activities, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and providing strategic tax advice to optimize the company's tax position.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the preparation and filing of federal and state tax returns.
- Oversee tax compliance processes and ensure timely submission of all required documents.
- Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
- Provide guidance and support to internal teams regarding tax-related issues.
- Conduct research on tax regulations and stay updated on changes relevant to the industry.
- Assist in tax audits and liaise with external auditors as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. (Master's prefered)
- CPA certification is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting or corporate tax management.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
