We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to help lead and manage the tax practice in our La Jolla Office. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing tax projects, including the delivery of high-quality work products and maintaining effective client communication.  In this position, there is an opportunity for advancement upon demonstration of abilities and a commitment to the profession and the firm. 


Salary Range:  $115,000 - $150,000


Key Responsibilities:

  • Help lead and manage the tax practice, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Prepare complex tax returns, including multi-state and international reporting.
  • Review and supervise the preparation of simple to moderate tax returns for individuals, partnerships, s corporations, corporations, exempt organizations, and estates and trust.
  • Respond to tax authorities on behalf of clients and assist clients with tax audits.
  • Assist with tax planning, research and consulting engagements as needed.
  • Maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and proactive advice.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing strategic tax planning and consulting services.
  • Stay updated on federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Develop and mentor junior staff, providing guidance and support for professional development.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide comprehensive client solutions.

Qualifications:
