Job description

Job Summary
 We are seeking a knowledgeable CPA/Tax Professional to join our team. In this role, you will prepare, review and sign clients’ tax filings and advise them on strategies to maximize savings and make sound financial decisions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, client facing, highly organized, and has a strong understanding of tax laws and best practices in tax preparation. 
Responsibilities 
  • Conduct initial meetings with potential clients to discuss the services offered and estimates of cost
  • Educate clients on the tax submission process 
  • Analyze income statements, previous tax returns, and other financial records to determine taxable income
  • Provide sound advice to clients on minimizing their tax obligations
  • File taxes in an accurate and timely manner
  • Communicate with tax authorities when necessary
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field
  • Active California CPA license required 
  • 5-10 years of experience as a Tax Professional
  • Experience with CCH Access software preferred
  • Knowledge of federal and state tax laws
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
-Salary Range: $125,000 – $175,000 annually, depending on experience
-This is an Exempt, Full Time Position
-Additional hours may be required during tax season and peak deadlines.
