Location: Camden County, NJ (Hybrid Work Model)

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Income Tax Manager to join our team. This pivotal role is responsible for overseeing the tax accounting and compliance functions, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local tax regulations. The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in tax strategy and planning, contributing to optimizing our organization's tax position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the federal income tax provision process. Experience with M1 adjustments related to book to tax differenced for depreciation and R&D expenses (sec. 174)
  • Develop and implement effective tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize compliance.
  • Manage the business relationship and perfomance of our external tax compliance partners (Big 4 firm)
  • Oversee
  • Perform tax research on changes in tax legislation and business initiatives. Must be able to research regulations, assess impacts and communicate findings clearly to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate tax considerations into business decisions.
  • Provide guidance and training to finance staff on tax-related matters.
  • Prepare and analyze quarterly and annual tax provisions and deferred tax calculations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate tax, with a strong focus on income tax management.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
  • Proven experience in tax strategy development and implementation.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment.
