This role offers an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional or recent graduate to gain hands-on experience in production planning and supply chain management within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, adaptable, and eager to learn new processes with minimal direction. This role is responsible for overseeing monthly supplier inventory reconciliations, creating and posting shipments, maintaining purchase orders, tracking production schedules, and ensuring timely delivery of finished goods across the supplier network.

Responsibilities
  • Review and reconcile monthly supplier inventory reports to maintain accurate production and shipment data.
  • Support coordination of annual physical inventory with suppliers.
  • Create and post shipments, and close out production orders.
  • Track and monitor production schedules to ensure timely manufacturing and delivery of finished goods.
  • Create, issue, and maintain purchase orders for launch and replenishment items, ensuring alignment with production plans and demand forecasts.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers to confirm production details, resolve delays, and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Partner cross-functionally with internal teams—including planning, logistics, and product development—to support timely execution of launches and replenishments.
  • Utilize the company’s ERP system to manage transactions, receipts, and reporting activities.
  • Assist with the evaluation of supplier performance and help drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support the coordination of logistics and shipment methods to meet business timelines in a cost-effective manner.
  • Maintain organized production records, samples, and documentation for reference and compliance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 1-2 years of experience in production, supply chain, or operations.
  • Strong desire and ability to learn new systems, tools, and processes quickly.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and external partners.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (PivotTables and VLOOKUPs a plus).
  • Positive attitude, flexibility, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to thrive within a changing, dynamic organization.
  • Up to 10% travel as required.
Preferred Skills (Not Required)
  • Internship or prior experience in production, operations, or purchasing.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and supply chain processes.
  • Interest in the beauty or consumer packaged goods industry.
Our Perks
  • Salary range: $66,350-66,500 (Compensation will depend on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill level, relevant work experience & education)
  • Medical, dental, vision, 401K plan & access to health & wellness programs
  • Paid vacation, holidays, summer Fridays, birthdays off, volunteer time & more
  • Makeup gratis, employee discount on tarte.com, team give back initiatives
  • Friendly, fun, creative & collaborative work environment
  • Tarte is an equal opportunity employer.
