Job description

$1,000 Sign On Bonus - External Hires Only
Responsible for the safe and timely delivery and pickup of food supplies, manual tasks in food delivery, food preparation, and food serving. Work includes some prep work and overall good customer service to patients and visitors, to include recording of temperatures of food items delivered. Will also be required to perform food service duties within the work area regularly (i.e. sweeping, mopping, cleaning food equipment, and all other duties that may be required within the kitchen area).
Education
High School Diploma or GED
Experience
One year of related experience. Requires working knowledge of standard practices and procedures.
Licenses & Certifications

Qualifications
*Must be able to read, write and follow directions
*Must be able to successfully pass DOT physical exam for Medical Card and DOT Registry number
*Must complete ServSafe Food Handler course within one year of hire.
*Must have a valid driver's license and meet Tanner Health System insurability standards.
*One week to three months on the job training.
*Previous experience in Transportation, foodservice is desirable, but not required.
*Ability to display effective communication skills toward all employees and leaders in the department.
Area of Responsibilities
*Assist with handling and transporting various items within and outside the hospital.
*Record any food waste at the end of the shift on the production sheet. Give production sheet to the Supervisor on duty.
*Report any error warnings or mechanical defaults that may occur on kitchen or transport equipment, to management or engineering.
*Responsible for thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing the work station, which includes the steam table line area, walls in work station, keeping up the overall cleaning of the dish room area, taking out trash and the cleaning of the trash cans and any other duties directed by management.
*Timely delivery of food items to all outside area facilities. Accurately recording food temperatures of what is delivered to outside facilities.
Compliance Statement
Employee performs within the prescribed limits of Tanner Health System's Ethics and Compliance program. Is responsible to detect, observe, and report compliance variances to their immediate supervisor, the Compliance Officer, or the Hotline.
