Position: Tanium Administrator

Location: Charlotte, NC

  • 4x/week onsite

Contract Length: 12+ months+

 

Top Requirements: 

  1. Tanium administration experience
    1. SSCM (Microsoft Systems Manager), Big Fix, distributed management software
  1. Good understanding of Role-Based Access control setting in Tanium
    1. Relevant Terminology: Sensors, Custom Tags, Scheduled Actions, topology of Tanium platform, user groups.
  1. On-prem troubleshooting and maintenance experience
    1. Their instance of Tanium is on-prem
  1. PowerShell and/or VB

Day to Day Responsibilities/project specifics:   We're looking for a highly motivated and technically skilled individual to support and extend our on-prem version of Tanium across various environments. This role involves daily monitoring of platform health, troubleshooting endpoint connectivity issues—particularly in data center settings—and diving into product logs to identify and resolve communication failures between endpoints and access points. The ideal candidate will be aggressive in learning, fluent in English, and capable of managing remote network scans and configuration changes. They should be comfortable coordinating with vendors, documenting issues thoroughly, and maintaining strong time management as resolutions may be delayed. Experience with infrastructure operations, endpoint architecture, and integrating Tanium with security and protective services teams is essential. This person will play a key role in ensuring downstream teams receive the critical information they need, while helping to drive platform stability and expansion across the client’s broader ecosystem.
