Job description

  • Lead the integrated execution of hardware development, subcontract activities, manufacturing and deployment readiness across multiple programs.
  • Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with organizational goals, customer requirements, and program commitments.
  • Partner closely with Program Management and Engineering leadership to ensure successful program execution and product delivery.
  • Establish operational priorities and allocate resources to achieve schedule, quality, and cost objectives.
  • Serve as a key operational advisor to senior leadership regarding program risks, resource requirements, and execution strategies.
  • Support business development and proposal efforts through staffing plans, Basis of Estimates (BOEs), labor forecasting, and execution planning.
  • Oversee Industrial Engineering, and Deployment readiness functions.
  • Ensure effective execution of hardware assembly, installation, integration, and deployment activities.
  • Drive manufacturing readiness, process improvements, and production efficiency initiatives.
  • Maintain ownership of hardware assembly and installation processes, metrics, and corrective action programs.
  • Ensure compliance with technical, quality, and regulatory standards throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Lead Operations Program Management and Subcontract teams in support of program execution.
  • Ensure subcontractor performance aligns with program schedules, quality expectations, and contractual obligations.
  • Monitor supplier performance, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate material planning, procurement activities, and production readiness efforts.
  • Develop performance metrics and dashboards to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Manage departmental budgets, labor forecasts, staffing plans, and operational expenditures.
  • Review labor estimates, program budgets, and resource requirements to ensure successful program execution.
  • Monitor operational performance and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency and profitability.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop managers, supervisors, and technical professionals.
  • Build and maintain a high-performing organization focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Identify workforce capability gaps and implement training and development plans.
  • Drive employee engagement, succession planning, and talent pipeline development.
  • Foster an inclusive culture that supports innovation and operational excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, OSHA, FAR/DFARS, MIL Standards, and other applicable regulations.
  • Implement operational metrics, performance dashboards, and reporting systems.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Promote standardization of processes, best practices, and operational governance across functions.
  • Ensure all company security and government contract requirements are met.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Engineering, Program Management, Planning, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, and Customers.
  • Support customer reviews, audits, technical discussions, and program status briefings.
  • Coordinate activities across CAE entities and external partners to ensure successful execution.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership experience in hardware development, manufacturing, operations, program management, or defense/aerospace environments
  • Experience leading cross-functional technical and operational teams
  • Knowledge of manufacturing operations, hardware development lifecycles, deployment activities, and subcontract management
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems and operational performance metrics
  • Strong understanding of AS9100, ISO 9001, OSHA requirements, and government contracting environments
  • Excellent communication, leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance.
