Job description


Purpose: The Talent Management Partner is a strategic individual contributor within Five Star Bank’s Human Resources Department, responsible for aiding in the design and leading the execution of the organization’s talent management and leadership development initiatives. This role independently manages key programs such as performance check-ins, organizational development programs such as Five Star 101, and learning management system operations, including reporting and analytics. By proactively identifying opportunities for enhancement and driving initiatives forward, the Talent Management Partner plays a vital role in shaping a high-performance culture and developing leadership capabilities across the organization.

Essential Functions:

  • Collaborate with business line leaders on the development and documentation of employee career pathing and Individual Development Plans (IDPs).
  • Manage the administration and tracking of talent management processes such as annual objective and goal setting, annual and mid-year performance reviews, and 9-box assessments.
  • Administer courses and report on the status of enterprise-wide learning initiatives utilizing Five Star Bank’s learning management system (Docebo).
  • Create job aids, tools, and training materials to support the effectiveness of talent management and leadership development programs.
  • Collaborate with business leaders and subject matter experts to develop and deliver engaging, high-quality e-Learning modules that align with widely accepted learning and development industry standards such as the leveraging of instructional design models such as ADDIE or SAM, and adult learning theory.
  • Serve as the main point of contact and oversee the administration and reporting of enterprise regulatory compliance training.
  • Create and deliver presentations to leaders on leadership competencies, soft skills and other management related topics.
  • Oversee the administration and recordkeeping of the organization’s Tuition Reimbursement Program.
  • Develop curated and dedicated learning paths to enhance departmental capabilities and skillsets in collaboration with business line leaders.
  • Administer surveys utilizing Microsoft Forms and SurveyMonkey to gather insights surrounding development needs.
  • Assist in the analysis of survey, HRIS (ADP) and learning management system data to determine program effectiveness and unearth opportunities for improvement
  • Create and monitor internal communications in support of organizational talent initiatives.
  • Serve as a change agent and ambassador for enterprise-wide change management initiatives.
  • Build strong working relationships across the enterprise to enhance HR's role as a trusted advisor and demonstrate a return on investment for organizational development initiatives.
  • Demonstrate the standards and principles of the Five Star Bank experience in every interaction with internal and external customers, associates, and stakeholders. Incorporate the high-performance behaviors of teamwork, leading by example, and service in every facet of work.

Job Related Qualifications:

Required:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Industrial Organizational Psychology or related field.
Prior Experience: 5+ years of progressive human resources experience including, organizational development, industrial organizational psychology, learning and development, and/or leadership development. Experience within financial services, healthcare, insurance, and other heavily regulated fields preferred.

  • Demonstration of effective facilitation skills to engage participants and drive individual and team effectiveness.
  • Ability to work across multiple business units.
  • Ability to critically think and problem solve to address technical and knowledge-based gaps.
  • Knowledge of best practices in adult learning, instructional design, and organizational development.
  • Ability to work with, communicate and train leaders on an individual or group basis in a classroom environment.
  • Analyze and report on the outcomes and efficacy of talent development programs and initiatives.
  • Ability to coach and guide senior-to-executive level leaders on management practices and organizational strategy.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to present information in a meaningful and easily understood manner.
  • Familiarity with human resources information systems and reporting.
  • Ability to work with and manage highly sensitive and confidential data with a high level of discretion and professionalism.
  • Proven ability to develop professional, high-quality presentations and train employees in line adult learning theory and industry standards.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet established deadlines and change focus quickly to meet business needs.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook, as well as the ability to learn and utilize new and existing banking software applications.
  • Experience with business intelligence tools such as PowerBI and Tableau, as well as instructional design programs such as Adobe Captivate and Articulate are a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to regularly sit for prolonged periods of time.
  • Able to accommodate occasional travel (10-20%) across the corporate footprint.
  • Extensive computer usage is required.
  • Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends.
