Job Description
Our trusted client in the Houston Medical Center is seeking a Patient Escort to assist in transporting patients to their initial appointments or treatments while ensuring excellent customer service. This role requires preparing and sanitizing wheelchairs or stretchers, following safety protocols, and ensuring patients reach their destinations efficiently and comfortably. Responsibilities
  • Sanitize wheelchairs before each patient transport using the Wheelchair “High-Touch” Disinfection/Inspection Protocol
  • Follow equipment checklists for assisting patients on and off wheelchairs
  • Safely and efficiently transport patients from entry points to their initial appointments
Qualifications and Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)
  • One (1) year of patient care and heavy customer service experience (Required)
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to push at least 250 lbs. via wheelchair (Required)
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to follow directions and navigate the medical campus independently
  • Must be comfortable standing and walking throughout the shift while assisting patients undergoing intensive treatments
