KVC Missouri Residential Treatment Facility

Location: Springfield, MO
Pay: $18-$20.61
Job Type: PRN (As needed, see schedule details below)

Job Summary

The Mental/Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) tends to the physical and emotional needs of assigned clients and fosters a supportive group living environment. Join us for a flexible work schedule, perfect for students, those seeking extra work, or individuals eager to gain experience in mental health and social services.

Location:

  • Springfield, MO

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalency

Schedule:

  • Flexible PRN schedules
  • Hours based on your availability and the needs of the campus.
  • Minimum Requirement (1) shift every 30 days.

Requirements:

  • Must be 21 years old to apply
  • Pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check required
  • Valid driver's license
  • Valid auto insurance

Preferred Experience / Skills:

  • Experience Working with children and families in a trauma informed environment

Essential Duties:

  • Manage youth safely, avoiding therapeutic holds.
  • Model positive behaviors and coping skills using a strength-based approach.
  • Ensure client safety and security while attending to their needs in a nurturing manner.
  • Participate in various meetings to share client information and discuss cottage life matters.
  • Supervise clients, assign daily chores, assist with homework, and encourage recreational activities.
  • Perform evening and night duties such as cottage checks and laundry as instructed.
  • Implement treatment plans and complete necessary documentation.
