Job description

1. Title: Talent & Organizational Development Specialist
2. Reports to: Director of HR & GA
3. Department: Human Resources
4. Position Summary
The Talent & Organizational Development Specialist is responsible for designing, building, and operating Englewood Lab's Learning & Development (L&D), talent development, and organizational development initiatives. This role transforms HR strategies into practical frameworks and measurable business outcomes.
The position leads competency assessments and Employee Engagement/Culture Surveys, identifies organizational and individual capability gaps, and translates insights into targeted learning and development programs. The Specialist also develops data-driven, decision-ready analyses and recommendations to support leadership decision-making.
In addition, this role owns the design, execution, analysis, and continuous improvement of Learning & Development programs, Employer Branding, Employee Recognition, Internal Communications, and AI-driven HR initiatives.
5. Primary Responsibilities
1) Learning & Development (L&D)
  • Design, build, and continuously improve onboarding programs, role-based learning paths, and competency development programs.
  • Develop engaging learning content utilizing Generative AI and other AI-powered technologies.
  • Evaluate, implement, administer, and optimize the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Measure learning effectiveness through training metrics, employee feedback, and business outcomes.

2) Talent Development & Organizational Development
  • Administer competency assessments and Employee Engagement/Culture Survey programs based on the HR organizational development framework.
  • Analyze competency gaps and organizational needs to develop targeted learning and development initiatives.
  • Prepare executive-level reports, dashboards, and decision-ready recommendations.
  • Lead the planning, execution, analysis, and continuous improvement of talent and organizational development programs.

3) Employer Branding
  • Manage Englewood Lab's employer brand across LinkedIn, Glassdoor, and other employer branding platforms.
  • Develop recruitment marketing and employer branding content using AI-powered writing and design tools.
  • Enhance candidate experience through employer reputation monitoring and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support talent attraction strategies through employer branding campaigns.

4) Employee Engagement & Recognition
  • Design and administer employee recognition programs, including service anniversaries, birthdays, milestone celebrations, and appreciation initiatives.
  • Partner with the General Affairs (GA) team to coordinate employee engagement activities and company events.
  • Conduct employee engagement and organizational culture surveys and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Recommend initiatives that improve employee engagement and overall employee experience.

5) Internal Communications & AI Innovation
  • Manage employee portal content, company-wide announcements, and internal communication materials.
  • Support implementation of AI-enabled employee self-service tools, including FAQs and chatbot initiatives.
  • Research emerging AI technologies and recommend innovative HR applications across Learning & Development, Employer Branding, Internal Communications, and Organizational Development.
  • Promote continuous improvement by leveraging technology and AI to enhance HR processes and employee experience.

6. Qualifications
1) Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Talent Development, Learning & Development, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Talent Development, Organizational Development (OD), Learning & Development (L&D), or a closely related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and building learning, competency, or organizational development programs from the ground up.
  • Experience administering competency assessments and Employee Engagement or organizational culture surveys and translating results into actionable initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, presentation, and business writing skills with the ability to prepare executive-level, decision-ready recommendations.
  • Ability to independently manage projects with a high level of ownership, initiative, and accountability.
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.

2) Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience using Generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, or similar AI platforms.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS), HRIS, Employee Engagement platforms, Canva, or similar content creation tools.
  • Bilingual in English and Korean or English and Spanish.
  • Experience in manufacturing, cosmetics, consumer products, or other fast-paced business environments.
  • Professional certifications such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, ATD, CPTD, or related HR/Talent Development certifications.
  • Experience managing LinkedIn, Glassdoor, and other employer branding platforms.
  • Experience leading Employee Recognition, Employee Engagement, and Internal Communication initiatives.

7. Compensation & Benefits
1) Pay Range
$75,000 - $110,000 per year (Final compensation will be determined based on qualifications, experience, and overall fit.)
