The Talent Acquisition Specialist collaborates with key stakeholders to understand hiring needs across business units to meet immediate and future staffing plans. This critical role will ensure that we acquire the best talent possible to join our business as well as mentors other members of the recruiting team. They oversee the entire candidate experience from lead sourcing, interviewing and ultimately hiring candidates in concert with talent acquisition initiatives that support delivering the companys strategic priorities. This role supports the full life cycle recruitment across DBM Globals business units. From generating a pipeline to maintaining a successful offer acceptance rate, they are responsible for managing the entire candidate process, building scaled processes, analyzing data, and creating a deep partnership with the business.

Key Performance Objectives

  • Provide talent acquisition solutions and market insight to meet business growth plans and drive key results
  • Develop pipeline of talent for active and passive needs
  • Own and lead sourcing strategies that increase the volume of potential qualified candidates
  • Influence and educate internal stakeholders on best practices, such as effective job descriptions, candidate outreach, employer value propositions, and excellent interview and onboarding experiences, to drive positive candidate experiences.
  • Work with department leadership to create plans and identify resources for staffing needs
  • Partner with marketing and other departments to create compelling campaigns that enhance employer branding and visibility
  • Provide exceptional candidate experience, while managing the full recruitment lifecycle
  • Participate in key projects that enhance internal recruitment process, focusing on immediate and long-term needs
  • Exercise a high level of professionalism and confidentiality when working with staff, projects, and proprietary information
  • Develop and execute recruiting strategies for hard to fill and frequently filled positions
  • Network through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups, social media, and employees
  • Collaborate with hiring managers and stakeholder employees regularly to keep parties informed, establish co-ownership, improve morale, and source new candidate leads
  • Conduct regular follow-up with hiring managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation
  • Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting
  • Drive process improvements to help make the hiring process more effective, efficient, and positive for both hiring managers and candidates
  • Own the full candidate lifecycle for a variety of positions
  • Collaborate with internal clients to develop sourcing strategy for current and future needs
  • Proactively source candidates using internet resources, social media, employee referrals, recruiting techniques and other creative methods
  • Create and negotiate offers with candidates that may include complex compensation, incentive plans, relocation, or other hiring issues
  • Ensure a smooth and positive candidate and hiring manager experience
  • Liaise closely with internal functions such as HR, Talent Management, IT, and other business units as necessary to onboard candidates effectively
  • Work with hiring managers to ensure job requirements and expectations are clearly understood and candidates are assessed against appropriate criteria
  • Engage in recruiting projects; collaborate with multiple stakeholders and business units to improve candidate engagement
  • Will work on other functions as needed

Core Competencies:

  • In-depth knowledge of recruitment processes, with experience pipelining for future roles
  • Exceptional prioritization and time management skills, with the ability to manage multipleprojects at once
  • Strong understanding of latest recruitment trends, including the use of Social Media tools forrecruitment
  • Experience withPaycom Applicant Tracking, ADP Workforce Now, iCIMS, and/or Service Nowis a plus
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Construction industry experience is highly preferred
  • Experience in a research capacity for candidate generation
  • Experience managing and prioritizing multiple searches, projects, and relationships
  • Experience sourcing through social media
  • Strong attention to detail while operating with a high sense of urgency
  • Strong sourcing, interviewing, and negotiation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with a penchant towards metrics
  • Experience recruiting talent in competitive markets
  • Strong understanding and ability to recruit at all levels of the organization from entry level toexecutive
  • Knowledge of EEO, ADA, and OFCCP requirements
  • Decisive ability to shift priorities and function effectively in a dynamic fast paced work culture
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work with minimal supervision and guidance is essential

Education/Training - Work Experience

Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience; Minimum of 5-7 years recruiting experience required with 3+ years within construction required

Software & Technology

Position will require the frequent use ofMS Office Suite, Bluebeam PDF, Concur, ADP Workforce and Paycom

Work Environment & Physical Demands

Position requires as many hours needed to fulfill the daily and weekly obligations required to carry out the job's essential functions. Working long days including evenings and weekends can be required for this position. Position may require travel. A clean driving record will be required along with current and valid drivers license and proof of acceptable insurance.
