We are growing and looking for a dedicated HR professional to join our team.

Position Summary

The Human Resource/ Recruiting Manager will be responsible for full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, employee training, and scheduling. This is a key role in supporting our staff and ensuring that our agency maintains a strong, professional, and motivated workforce.

Key ResponsibilitiesRecruitment & Talent Acquisition
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment and hiring activities.
  • Create and post job advertisements on Indeed and other recruitment platforms.
  • Screen resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates.
  • Conduct phone screenings and coordinate interviews with hiring managers.
  • Perform reference checks and employment verifications.
  • Develop recruitment strategies to maintain adequate staffing levels.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates.
Employee Onboarding & Compliance
  • Coordinate all new hire onboarding activities.
  • Ensure completion of employment paperwork and hiring documentation.
  • Verify background checks, licenses, certifications, and credentials as applicable.
  • Schedule and monitor mandatory training requirements.
  • Maintain employee personnel files and compliance records.
  • Monitor training expirations and renewal requirements.
  • Ensure onboarding processes are completed efficiently and timely.
Scheduling & Workforce Management
  • Partner closely with the Scheduling Coordinator to ensure adequate staffing coverage across all programs and locations.
  • Assist in filling open shifts and proactively address staffing shortages to maintain uninterrupted operations.
  • Maintain scheduling systems and ensure staffing records are accurate and up to date.
  • Collaborate with management and program leadership to identify current and future staffing needs and develop workforce plans to support organizational goals.
  • Support recruitment efforts by identifying staffing gaps and prioritizing hiring needs based on operational requirements.
  • Oversee staff scheduling to ensure proper coverage for client services
Human Resources Administration
  • Assist with employee relations and performance management.
  • Support disciplinary actions, corrective action plans, and investigations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and labor regulations.
  • Track employee attendance and timekeeping.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee and company information.
  • Assist with HR policy development and updates
  • Carries out all other responsibilities as required or assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)
  • 3–5+ years of HR, recruiting, or scheduling experience (healthcare or human services a plus)
  • Knowledge of CT employment law and HR best practices
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines
  • HR certifications (SHRM-CP, PHR) a plus
