Job Location: HYBRID – In-person in the Washington, D.C./VA Metro area and remote
Reports to: Director, People and Culture
Compensation: $25.00 to $27.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)
Schedule: Part time (20 hours), various days throughout week

About the Position

We are seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to attract, engage, and hire exceptional early childhood education professionals and corporate team members who align with Brynmor’s mission and values. This position plays a critical role in building strong, mission-driven teams across our centers and central support functions.

This position includes the following responsibilities:

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment for center-based and corporate roles
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies to build strong candidate pipelines
  • Post positions, manage applicant tracking system, and maintain accurate recruitment data
  • Screen resumes and conducts initial phone interviews
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring managers and center leaders
  • Partner with leadership to understand staffing needs and workforce planning
  • Conduct reference checks and support background check processes
  • Ensure compliance with all state licensing and employment requirements during hiring
  • Represent Brynmor at job fairs, community events, and university recruitment activities
  • Promote Brynmor’s employer brand across recruitment platforms and social media
  • Support onboarding processes to ensure a seamless new hire experience
  • Track and report recruiting metrics such as time-to-fill and candidate pipeline data
  • Collaborate with Director of People and Culture to continuously improve recruitment strategies
  • This role will partner with the People & Culture Team as needed in other capacities.

Qualifications:

  • Clear, proactive oral and written communicator
  • Minimum high school diploma required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred
  • 2+ years of recruiting or talent acquisition experience
  • Experience recruiting in early childhood education or education sector preferred
  • Strong interviewing and candidate assessment skills
  • Significant experience with job board platforms such as Indeed
  • Excellent time management, prioritization, and multitasking abilities
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail
  • Ability to build strong professional relationships
  • Proficiency with applicant tracking systems and HR platforms
