WHY [The role of Tag & Title Specialist is so important]

The tag and title specialist serves as the final reviewer of an automotive transaction,

overseeing the completion of the sale process in accordance with state regulations.

Their role is crucial in ensuring all documentation is accurate and finalized.

HOW [Will the Tag & Title Specialist make their main CONTRIBUTION]

  • Facilitate the processing of retail tag and title work.
  • Effectively oversee and manage the DMV inventory.
  • Ensure that all dealer plates are properly accounted for and adhere to legal regulations.

MEASURING PERFORMANCE [How the contribution will be measured]

We believe each person needs to be able to measure their performance. To this end, the metrics you will own are:

  • Utilizing Schedule 1 and the DLR DMV Dashboard to ensure Florida tag and title work is completed within 25 days.
  • Using DLR DMV inventory dashboard as well as monthly audits of plates to manage inventory.
  • Dealer plate audits are performed monthly and are completed within two days following the audit.

WHAT [The Tag & Title Specialist typically does to fulfill the WHY and HOW] ADDITIONAL CLARITY:

While not exhaustive, the following are some of the areas in which you will invest time:

  • Verify Driver License match DLR DMV
  • Verify Insurance matches DLR DMV
  • Verify Buyer's Order Matches DLR DMV
  • Verify Title/MSO is complete and accurate
  • Upload required documents through DLR DMV and submit them to the state.
  • Upload final DMV Documents to Deal Jacket through F&I Desking.
  • All out-of-state is reviewed, uploaded, & submitted through DLR50.
  • Utilize the DLR Dashboard in FL DLR & DLR50 to track the status of deals.
  • Process courtesy deliveries and verify paperwork is accurate and vehicle is delivered.
  • Post courtesy delivery payments.
  • Responsible for plate assignments to F&I.
  • Responsible for monthly dealer plate audits.
  • Maintain DMV Inventory through DLR DMV.
  • Review and submit fleet/government documents to the local DMV office.
  • Answer and assist retail customers' questions and concerns.
  • Update and maintain tag and title issue log daily.
  • Issue customer title work refunds within 10 days of completion of title work. 
  • Send an accurate night report daily.
  • Post daily DLR DMV Report.
  • Review & Maintain schedule 1 weekly.
  • Adhere to the daily processing requirements to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Communicate effectively with tag & title team regarding issues during weekly meetings.
  • Communicate effectively with the accounting manager when deadlines are not met.
  • Communicate daily with finance and sales to effectively resolve outstanding issues.
  • Communicate regularly with the Accounting Manager through 1:1 Meetings
  • Attending monthly accounting meetings.
  • Attending any additional meetings as requested by the Accounting Manager.

Tag & Title Experience Required

Experience in Reynolds and/or Tekion preferred 

Must be over 18 years of age

Experience in Microsoft Office products preferred

Valid Drivers LicenseÂ
