Job Description:

Solicitation: Tableau Server Administrator and Erwin Administrator

  • Security Clearance: OIT, FTI (IRS Pub 1075), and CJIS (Fingerprint-based)
  • Position Objective
  • The Office of Information Technology (OIT) is seeking a highly specialized Tableau Server Administrator and Erwin Administrator. This role will primarily consist of Tableau Server Administration, but will also require Tableau Desktop/Tableau Prep related tasks. This role will also require knowledge and experience utilizing Erwin Data Modeling tool and Mart Portal.

Preferred Qualifications

  • To be considered for this role, candidates should provide proof of the following:
  • Tableau Server Administration experience
  • Tableau Desktop/Prep experience
  • Erwin Data Modeler/ER360 experience
  • Background Clearance Readiness: Absolute eligibility to pass OIT, FTI (Federal Tax Information), and CJIS (Criminal Justice Information Services) background checks.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Platform Operations & Administration 
  • Tableau Server Administration : Act as an administrator for Tableau Server environments; manage platform uptime, vendor escalations via Tableau support. Interact with different data sources, manage data refresh schedules. Also have the ability to upgrade and configure Tableau Server as required, as well as manage permissions, user onboarding/offboarding and content distribution.
  • Tableau Desktop: Create, publish and manage Tableau dashboards within segregated Dev/Test and Production level environments. Create predictive and prescriptive dashboards and reports based on customer requirements. Also be able to follow designated OIT style guides used for content creation, including designing content to meet section 508 accessibility standards.
  • Erwin: Manage licenses and user onboarding/offboarding for Erwin Data Modeler, Mart Portal, and ER360. Maintain Mart Portal and ER360 server environments and perform upgrades as needed.
  • Primary Deliverables
  • Tableau Server Maintenance and Support: Supporting and maintaining Tableau server updates on a regular cadence, ensuring system uptime and operations.
  • Dashboard Creation: Create new content for key stakeholders and update existing content as needed.
  • Erwin: Maintain an accurate count of available license seats, provide new users with onboarding and training materials, perform server updates and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Documentation: Create robust design documentation for any new deployments or projects
  • Ticket Processing: Adhere to SLA procedures and processes for ServiceHub ticket lifecycle.
  • Weekly Status Reports: Routine and consistent check-in’s with management, along with clear communication on desired deliverables and updates.
