As a Systems Integration Engineer III, you'll be able to manage advanced systems integration tasks with high competence in requirements analysis and management. You'll lead verification and validation (V&V) activities, oversee complex software and hardware integration, and manage configuration management processes. You'll be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive test plans, solving and troubleshooting technical problems with expertise, and applying sophisticated analytical thinking and critical reasoning. Your role will require strong technical writing and documentation skills, and a thorough understanding of aerospace and defense standards.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage advanced systems integration tasks with high competence.
  • Lead requirements analysis and management for complex projects.
  • Oversee comprehensive verification and validation (V&V) activities.
  • Supervise and manage complex software and hardware integration efforts.
  • Ensure effective configuration management and maintain thorough documentation.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, and troubleshoot complex technical issues.

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in systems integration or related field.
  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
  • Advanced proficiency with integration tools and methodologies.
  • Thorough knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary design & development teams.
  • Understanding and experience with the practical application of requirements development and management, system design, systems integration, technical risk identification, management strategies, and V&V principles.

Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Proven ability to serve as a technical liaison between software/application teams and infrastructure/platform teams, ensuring requirements and solutions are clearly communicated and implemented across both domains.
  • Experience translating application delivery requirements into platform/infrastructure solutions, working closely with both developers and infrastructure engineers to ensure seamless deployments.
  • Hands-on orchestration of container platforms (Kubernetes, Rancher, Harvester, etc.), with a focus on integrating application workflows and infrastructure automation.
  • Implementing and managing virtualization and private/on-premises cloud platforms for high availability, live migration, and open standards compliance, in secure or air-gapped environments.
  • Applying infrastructure as code (IaC) and GitOps practices to automate deployments, while coordinating changes and reviews with both software and infrastructure stakeholders.
  • Designing and enforcing access controls, authentication, and role-based permissions that span both application and platform layers, working with security, infra, and software teams.
  • Supporting cybersecurity, compliance, and secure configuration baselines by bridging the needs of application owners and platform operators.
  • Managing cryptographic key material, secure initialization, and integration of crypto devices, ensuring both application and infrastructure requirements are met.
  • Coordinating software patching, firmware updates, and configuration changes across teams to minimize downtime and maintain mission-critical operations.
  • Leading or participating in cross-functional troubleshooting, network management, and incident response efforts that require both software and infrastructure expertise.

Essential Functions:
  • Ability to work on a computer for extended periods.
  • Hand/finger dexterity for integration tasks.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment with occasional travel.
