DCCA is a growing and dynamic company serving as the large prime on a very successful contract, and we are searching for a highly skilled System Engineer 2 (SE2) to be a part of our team. The ideal candidate must possess the following:
โ€ข Working knowledge of Digital Multiplexers, Analog and Digital Signals, Voice/Vocoders, TDMs, Spread Spectrum, SONET/SDH/OTN, ETHERNET, PCM, VSAT, OSI Model and Computer to Computer (C2C) structure, protocols, and data such as: MPLS, Psuedowire, TDMop, ATM, Frame Relay, Cisco, Nortel, X.25, PPP, IP, TCP. UDP, VOIP, VOFR and Fragmentation.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
โ€ข Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional System Engineering experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
โ€ข Fourteen (14) years of experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
โ€ข Hands-on System Engineering supporting a mission critical system. Experience with all aspects of system support, including requirements management, data management, data analysis, system testing, and support to users.
โ€ข Strong hardware background to integrate, optimize, and test next generation hardware into future system deployments. Hardware Includes but is not limited to: Dell servers, NVidia GPUs, network interface cards, network switches, and optical recorders.
โ€ข Support hardware integration efforts for software development team tasks including:
o Testing various hardware configurations and bios setting on next Generation Dell servers
o Optimize optical switching to test servers
o Configure and maintain network switch to support lab efforts
o Maintain 20-30 racks of equipment
o Rack and cable new hardware as needed
o Support lab management duties
o Provide hardware recommendations for next generation hardware procurement
o Hardware Includes but is not limited to: Dell servers, NVidia GPUs, network interface cards, network switches, and optical recorders.
DESIRED SKILLS:
โ€ข Familiarity / completion of Advanced Communications Signals Analysis Course, Intermediate Communications Signals Analysis Course.
โ€ข Experience developing Junit tests to automate the regression testing.
โ€ข Wireless experience with telephony engineering in addition to strong hands-on engineering skills.
โ€ข Familiarity with communication systems and protocols
โ€ข Experience integrating, installing, configuring, changing, and optimizing hardware and software solutions into an overall system architecture.
โ€ข Experience loading and configuring the software on the appropriate hardware including the specific equipment, local controller, and remote controller.
