As an Engineered Systems Region Product Development Manager (ERPDM) you will support sales and sales operations for all things engineered systems assigned to a district. Reporting to the District Manager you will participate in developing strategy, planning and the tactical tasks to execute. You act as a Trench Safety Engineered Systems liaison between your district, branches, field sales, customers, and engineering department. You will be a technical sales resource supporting engineered systems goals. You will be instrumental in and accountable to profitable engineered systems revenue growth and your personal sales goals.
What you'll do:
  • Actively support revenue and product utilization goals
  • Review Open Projects and Project Pipeline to ensure proper and timely coverage of all projects with engineered systems opportunity
  • Support and participate in active sales leadership, pipeline management, and customer negotiations
  • Be customer facing, generate and follow leads, use your closing skills
  • Assist sales representatives in selecting the proper equipment to provide the customer with the most cost-effective solution
  • Quality Control and revision management on engineered questionnaires and sales proposals
  • Support pricing strategies and rate achievement
  • Be actively involved in the planning and delivering of projects
  • Identify potential Major Projects and collaborate with the Major Projects Team
  • Identify potential engineered systems customers through active involvement in associations and non-traditional channels
  • Act as training resource for field sales, managers, and others
  • Prepare a present to managers, executives, customers and stakeholders
  • Support tighter continuity between our engineering department, the field, and our customers
  • Market analysis and intelligence
  • Play key role supporting continuity with HUB's, Advisors, Engineering, Branches.
  • Other duties as needed

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Minimum 5 years of technical rental sales experience in the trench safety product/services line
  • Firm working knowledge of existing products and methods used in support of excavation systems and how they are used in the rental market;
  • Proficiency with MS Office (specifically Word, and Excel)
  • Project management skills
  • Strong presentations skills
  • Strong sales/sales management and customer focus/service skills
  • Engineering/mechanical aptitude: Ability to properly size, quote, install and maintain large projects
  • Proficiency with SFDC, Dodge, PEC or other CRM software
  • Possesses the following additional competencies: leadership, strategic thinking, trade area cooperation and teamwork skills
  • Travel up to 50%
