Job description

Summary:

We are representing a reputable, employee-owned mechanical contractor seeking an experienced Project Manager with a background in managing HVAC scopes. This role is ideal for someone who has managed client accounts and successfully completed projects from start to finish. While experience with homeowner-builders is acceptable, candidates with multifamily project backgrounds are preferred. Commercial project experience is also welcome. The company offers long-term growth opportunities through its ESOP and a strong benefits program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee projects from preconstruction through closeout

  • Manage client accounts, serving as the primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle

  • Coordinate with field staff, subcontractors, and vendors to maintain schedule and quality standards

  • Monitor budgets, forecasts, and cost controls while ensuring timely billing and documentation

  • Lead project meetings and maintain communication between internal teams and external stakeholders

  • Review and manage contracts, RFIs, change orders, and closeout packages

  • Track labor, materials, and equipment usage; resolve project-related issues promptly

  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and promote repeat business opportunities

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager in HVAC, plumbing, or mechanical contracting

  • Proven ability to manage and maintain client accounts and relationships

  • Experience completing ground-up or renovation projects (start-to-finish)

  • Multifamily project experience preferred; commercial and homeowner-builder experience acceptable
