Position Summary

Global C2 Integration Technologies is looking for a talented and enthusiastic System Administrator for Mission Systems and Secure Computing Environment (SCE) who supports the operation, maintenance, and security of mission-critical computing systems in on-premises operational environments. This role administers hyperconverged infrastructure, virtualized environments, storage systems, and core network services to ensure system availability, performance, and security.

The position is responsible for maintaining compliance with NIST cybersecurity policies, Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements, and operational security standards while supporting reliable and resilient system operations. This position is contingent upon contract award.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate, maintain, and sustain mission-critical systems supporting operational workloads.
  • Monitor system performance, health, and availability; troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Administer hyperconverged infrastructure, including compute, storage, virtualization, and distributed systems.
  • Manage virtual machine lifecycle, resource allocation, and capacity planning.
  • Perform system maintenance including patching, upgrades, configuration management, and system hardening.
  • Implement and maintain security controls in accordance with NIST and RMF requirements, including STIGs, vulnerability remediation, and patch compliance.
  • Monitor systems for cybersecurity threats, anomalies, and incidents, support response, and remediation efforts.
  • Maintain configuration baselines, inventories, and documentation IAW change management processes.
  • Execute system changes and ensure compliance with configuration control procedures.
  • Manage system backups, recovery processes, and disaster recovery activities; validate recovery capabilities through testing.
  • Maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting tools for operational visibility/incident detection.
  • Support system integration, upgrades, installation, and operational deployments.
  • Coordinate with cybersecurity, system engineering, infrastructure, configuration management, and test teams to ensure secure and reliable system operations.
  • Maintain operational documentation and technical artifacts supporting system sustainment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience administering enterprise or mission-critical computing systems.
  • Experience with virtualization platforms and hyperconverged infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of Linux and Windows system administration.
  • Experience implementing cybersecurity controls and patch management processes.
  • Familiarity with NIST 800-series cybersecurity standards.
  • Experience supporting Secure Computing Environments (SCE).
  • Experience with RMF and security compliance requirements.
  • Experience with system monitoring and logging tools

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with platforms such as Nutanix, VMware vSAN, or similar technologies.
  • Certified Security+ or higher
  • Experience with Linux+ or RHCSA
  • VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
  • Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP)
