Job Description:

L3Harris is a key provider of the tracking layer of the Space Development Agency's Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture, designing and building constellations of satellites and the ground systems that control them. As a lead integration and test engineer for a cloud-based ground segment, you'll plan and perform systems integration, functional testing, and formal verification tests. You'll work with interdisciplinary teams including space vehicle and communications engineers, cybersecurity professionals, and ground software developers to ensure the ground system fulfills all mission requirements.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop detailed test plans, descriptions, and procedures
  • Identify, schedule, and track test milestones
  • Identify, investigate, and report on problems discovered during testing
  • Perform integration testing with simulators, emulators, flight satellite hardware, and software and hardware testbeds
  • Perform and prepare detailed reports on formal verification test events
  • Perform extensive investigations to determine root causes of and potential solutions for complex problems
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
  • Minimum of 9 years of complex multi-subsystem cloud-hosted systems and in-depth knowledge of project management

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Familiarity with MBSE tools such as MagicDraw
  • Experience with IBM Rational DOORS and use in establishing traceability between requirements, use cases and test cases
  • Understanding of Earned Value Management System and program milestone tracking
  • Experience with Ansible and Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence)
