As a Senior Systems Integration Engineer you will design, implement, and maintain solutions that integrate various software applications and services, ensuring they communicate and work together seamlessly. You will be responsible for end-to-end processes of integrating different systems and platforms, analyzing requirements from various stakeholders, designing integration frameworks, and implementing relevant solutions.
Primary Duties:
  • With limited direction, designs, implements or modifies systems integration solutions that adhere to standards and that meet business requirements. Creates and executes test plans for system integrations and facilitates deployments into production.
  • Works closely with business stakeholders and team members (analysts, other engineers/developers) to understand their needs and to ensure that implemented integrations meet the requirements.
  • Creates detailed documentation of the integration processes suitable for internal systems control, including design specifications, test plans, and user manuals where applicable. Develops and provides one-on-one or small group user training.
  • Functions as a task leader on large projects and/or project leader on small projects. Coordinates resources, milestone schedules and related communication; responsible for delivery of an assigned scope of work.
  • Estimate systems integration related implementation efforts (blueprinting, configuration, development, testing, and deployment) primarily for self.
  • With limited general direction, leads and/or assists team members and customers in identifying and resolving issues that arise during the execution of system integration processes, providing ongoing support to maintain system functionality.
  • Monitors and optimizes the performance of system integrations to ensure they operate efficiently.
  • Implements security measures to protect integrated systems from vulnerabilities and threats, ensuring the proper handling and integration of data across different systems. Participates in and supports disaster recovery initiatives and change management standards and procedures. Assists in developing standards and procedures when required.
  • Uses standard team/department methods and processes to complete work. Assists in developing methods and processes when required, adhering to industry standards and regulatory requirements while implementing system integrations.
  • Maintains awareness of the latest technologies, trends, and best practices to continuously improve systems integration solutions. Assimilates new technology into company work environment.
  • Develops technical and business proficiency through education and work assignments. Demonstrates practical application of learning and actively shares knowledge across functional area.
  • Provides 24-hour on call support, including evenings and weekends.
  • Performs duties consistent with the company's AAP/EEO goals and policies.
  • Performs other duties as required/assigned by manager.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
  • Bachelor's degree (or its foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3-5 years of overall technical experience, preferably in a role related to systems integration.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in designing/implementing secure, scalable, and resilient integrations with MuleSoft Anypoint platform, Azure Integration Services (API Management, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Event Grid, etc), and applicable industry standards.
  • Strong understanding of core systems integration technologies, patterns, and best practices - specifically in the context of complex technology ecosystems.
  • Proven ability to design, implement, and support integrations across a broad range of enterprise systems; experience with modern EDI-focused integrations is a strong plus.
  • Experience with administration of systems integration platforms/tools, inclusive of resource utilization assessment and allocation/optimization.
  • Strong experience performing unit/integration testing and debugging activities - utilizing in platform or standalone API test tools like Postman and SoapUI.
  • Experience with source control tools, DevOps principles, and release patterns.
  • Experience with log aggregation and observability/monitoring tools like DataDog or Splunk.
  • Detail oriented with proven ability to effectively document integration flows for improved supportability.
  • Strong ability to organize and prioritize multiple objectives within tight deadlines.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
