Role Overview
The Systems Integration Engineer supports the integration of engineering and business systems across Mitsubishi Power Americas' New Generation Services (NGS) organization. This role focuses on learning and supporting system integration, data flows, and engineering master data concepts across PLM, ERP, and related tools. The position works under the guidance of senior systems integration architects and engineers and contributes to improving data consistency, process efficiency, and information quality across engineering and operational systems.
Key Responsibilities
  • Demonstrates our core competencies: Action oriented, change champion, customer-focused, developing self & others, and ownership
  • Support integration of engineering data across systems, including Windchill, engineering tools, and enterprise platforms such as SAP, CRM, and scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera P6).
  • Assist in documenting system interfaces and data flows, including integration requirements and architecture under guidance from senior team members.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of master data structures and integration standards within engineering systems.
  • Support data validation, testing, and troubleshooting activities related to system integrations and middleware functionality.
  • Prepare and maintain reports, dashboards, and summaries to track project status, data quality, and integration performance.
  • Collaborate with engineering, IT, and business stakeholders to understand system usage and support integration requirements.
  • Perform system configuration and data maintenance activities, including data cleanup and controlled updates in accordance with governance and change management processes.
  • Assist with benchmarking and continuous improvement initiatives, researching best practices in systems integration, master data management, and digital engineering tools.
  • Support coordination with internal and external engineering teams to ensure consistent transfer and alignment of technical data.
  • Follow established procedures for configuration control, data security, and information release.
  • Provide general support for systems integration initiatives, completing additional tasks as assigned.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience in engineering systems, IT, data management, or related fields (internships and co-op experience acceptable).
  • Basic understanding of data management and system integration concepts, including databases, data structures, and enterprise applications (preferred).
  • Familiarity with or willingness to learn engineering and enterprise systems, such as PLM (e.g., Windchill), ERP (e.g., SAP), and related engineering tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and email platforms.
  • Exposure to scripting, reporting tools, or data analysis techniques is a plus.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and work with technical documentation, including system definitions and engineering requirements.
