Job Summary:
Sun Communities & Sun Outdoors is an industry-leading organization seeking a Systems Manager to oversee and manage the company's enterprise-level systems strategy. The role involves ensuring systems operate efficiently and securely while collaborating with business leaders to align technology solutions with organizational objectives.
Responsibilities:
• Develops and implements strategic system roadmap and initiatives to align with Sun's goals and objectives (Essential)
• Partners with business leaders across Sun to inform and gain buy-in on the system vision, strategy, features, budgets, and priorities (Essential)
• Oversees installations, configurations, and implementations on assigned systems (Essential)
• Monitors and ensures assigned systems' availability, performance, and security, promptly resolving any issues or business disruptions that may arise (Essential)
• Conducts regular system assessments and participate in security audits to identify vulnerabilities, risks, and areas for improvement and work to implement appropriate measures to mitigate them (Essential)
• Understanding of high-level business processes performed at Sun across the various systems within the enterprise technology architecture (Essential)
• Develops and maintains system documentation, including operating and support procedures, configurations, and technical specifications
• Leads required upgrades and enhancements to the assigned system
• Collaborates with external vendor partners and cross-functional internal team members to gather requirements, analyze needs, design, and implement appropriate system solutions
• Oversees any acquisition, disposition, and conversion tasks related to assigned systems
• Manages relationships with external vendor partners and technology teams for assigned systems
• Maintains accurate system records, establishes contacts and effective support procedures, contract details, and manages key system dates
• Stays abreast of emerging tech trends and best practices, recommend system enhancements, and drive the adoption strategy
• Other tasks as assigned
• Partner with leadership teams to assess, recommend, and implement technology solutions that align with organizational objectives and meet compliance standards
• Ensure effective IT controls design and operation within assigned systems and work with internal and external auditors to support audit requests.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's Degree in information technology or related field (Required)
• 5 years in Experience in product ownership, system administration, or system support role (Required)
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities and coordinate system implementation and upgrade projects
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to think creatively
• Strong negotiation, presentation, and reporting skills
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative and embrace change
• Knowledge of configuration and support best practices and methodologies
• Solid understanding of IT security principles and practices, including access controls, data protection, and compliance requirements
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions
Preferred:
• 3 years in Proven experience in enterprise systems management, including design, implementation and maintenance (Preferred)
