Description:

Braskem America is seeking an Application Specialist who will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and enhancing business-critical applications, with a strong focus on SAP S/4HANA, SQL Server, Azure-based integrations, and related enterprise systems. This role ensures system stability, data integrity, and performance across applications, databases, integration, and infrastructure layers. The specialist partners with business users, IT teams, vendors, and service providers to troubleshoot issues, manage changes and enhancements, support reporting and data integration solutions, and maintain operational continuity across key business processes including Plant Maintenance, Order-to-Cash, and supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Provide day-to-day support, maintenance, and monitoring for business-critical applications, interfaces, and integrated systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application, database, integration, and infrastructure issues across SAP, SQL Server, Azure, and Windows Server environments.
  • Support SAP functional processes including Plant Maintenance (PM), Order-to-Cash (OTC), Forecast-to-Stock (FTS), and PLM-related business processes.
  • Analyze and resolve issues related to sales orders, deliveries, transfer orders, inventory movements, stock overview transactions, and other operational business activities.
  • Perform SAP data analysis, basic configuration changes, and change management activities using SAP SOLMAN ChaRM.
  • Develop, maintain, and support SQL Server database objects including tables, views, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and linked servers.
  • Support and maintain data integration solutions utilizing SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and Azure Data Factory (ADF).
  • Develop and modify reports using Crystal Reports and support reporting and analytics solutions through Azure Analysis Services.
  • Manage and troubleshoot Windows Server environments, Windows services, scheduled tasks, remote access tools, and privileged access management processes.
  • Partner with business stakeholders, vendors, DBAs, and IT teams to manage incidents, perform root cause analysis, implement enhancements, and ensure operational continuity.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience
  • Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA or SAP ECC environments and strong Microsoft SQL Server experience.
  • Knowledge of BeyondTrust or similar privileged access management solutions.
  • Understanding of enterprise application architecture and system integrations.
  • Familiarity with middleware and interface support concepts.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple support activities in a production environment.
  • Experience in supporting business-critical applications and operational systems.
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to work effectively with business stakeholders.
  • Experience with incident management, ticket tracking, and root cause analysis.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Understanding of change management and application lifecycle processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data integrity.
Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, external vendors, and managed service providers.
