Summary
HII Mission Technologies is seeking a System Administration Support Technician to join our Technology team supporting the DTOC. This team enables Distributed Mission Operations (DMO) events, mission networks, site connections, cybersecurity, and related functions critical to Air National Guard training and readiness.

Your expertise will help maintain mission-critical networks, safeguard sensitive information, and support the seamless execution of live and distributed training events. #LI-MJ1
Key Job Responsibilities
  • Maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, coordinating with network administrators.
  • Recommend hardware/software purchases, coordinate installation, and provide backup recovery.
  • Develop and monitor policies and standards for computing resource allocation.
  • Install, support, and maintain DTOC mission network servers, computer equipment, and peripherals.
  • Configure and manage software in compliance with STIGs, JSIG, and cybersecurity requirements.
  • Plan for and respond to service outages and technical issues.
  • Collaborate on project teams to design and integrate OTTI technologies and DTOC solutions.
  • Provide application support for office automation tools and modeling & simulation (M&S) software.
  • Support HBSS, SIEM solutions, and continuous monitoring.
  • Implement workstation patches, security fixes, and service releases.
  • Identify, analyze, and document long-range requirements.

What you must have
Education & Experience
  • 2 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field; OR
  • 0 years of experience with a Master's degree in a related field; OR
  • 6 years of relevant experience with a High School Diploma/equivalent.

Technical Knowledge
  • Experience configuring software and performing configuration management in compliance with STIGs, JSIG, and DoD cybersecurity requirements.
  • Experience managing storage arrays, file and virtual machine backups.
  • Experience with Virtual Desktop Interface technologies, VMware, physical/virtual machines, and LANs.
  • Knowledge of relational database management systems (e.g., SQL Server)
  • Ability to update and patch Windows and Linux operating systems and applications in offline environments.
  • Ability to analyze network traffic and troubleshoot DIS/HLA packets using tools such as Wireshark or DPA.
  • General working knowledge of PowerShell and scripting.

Credentials
  • Must have a current or active DoD Secret Clearance with ability to upgrade to TS
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must have a DoD IAT Level II certification or higher (e.g., Security+ or equivalent).
  • DISA ACAS Training/Certification

Preferred Qualifications
  • Current or active DoD Top Secret Clearance.
  • Certified Linux Administrator training/credential.
  • General working knowledge of Citrix.
  • Advanced PowerShell scripting skills.

Physical Requirements
May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
