Under the supervision of the IT Operations Manager, the IT Web Admin Intern will support LC Plus Technology by assisting with website administration, provider website compliance initiatives, and ongoing web-based support activities. Day-to-day support will be provided by the IT Web Administrator.ย ย 

The IT Web Admin Intern will focus on maintaining and improving internal and external web platforms and supporting provider organizations in meeting compliance standard. The intern will gain hands-on experience in website management, troubleshooting, accessibility, and security best practices.


Essential Competencies:

  • Manage day-to-day updates and maintenance for websites and intranet platforms
  • Troubleshoot website issues and implement fixes in a timely manner
  • Maintain hosting environments, domain configurations, and SSL certificates
  • Monitor website performance, uptime, and basic analytics
  • Work directly with provider organizations (web clients) to review and improve their websites
  • Provide clear guidance on required website updates, content accuracy, and usability improvements
  • Communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders to explain issues, risks, and solutions
  • Assist in creating training materials or documentation to support provider self-maintenance
  • Assist in conducting baseline website assessments using standardized tools and checklists
  • Identify and support remediation of issues related to:
  • Accessibility (WCAG Level A)
  • Security (SSL, HTTPS, headers, DNS basics)
  • Mobile responsiveness
  • Accuracy of member-facing content (services, hours, contact information, referrals)
  • Support remediation efforts within defined program scope (no custom or out-of-scope work)
  • Document before-and-after changes and maintain accurate tracking of updates
  • Assist with compliance validation through re-testing and verification processes
  • Maintain clear audit trails and standardized reporting documentation
  • Collaborate with internal IT teams and third-party vendors to support integrations and issue resolution
  • Follow structured workflows to ensure consistency across provider websites
  • Support bulk update initiatives, scanning efforts, or compliance checks as needed
  • Assist in gathering documentation, metrics, and provider feedback to inform program success
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical users
  • Handles equipment and user data responsibly and confidentially
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and security expectationsย 

Requirements

  • Completion of high school/HSED with an interest in information systems, computer science, web development or related fields is desired; enrollment in college or university level IT degree program preferred
  • Knowledge of computer hardware and operating systems
  • Basic knowledge of website management, hosting, or content management systems preferred
  • Familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS, or CMS platforms) preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Strong attention to detail

  • Current driver's license, acceptable driving record and proof of adequate insurance required.
